Sounds familiar but what exactly is it?
B Corps are companies reinventing business by pursuing a sustainable purpose, as well as profit. The certification process is rigorous, with companies required to reach a score of at least 80 (out of 200) points. To complete the certification, the company legally embedded their commitment to purpose beyond profit in their company articles.
We are big admirers of the B Corp movement. It’s one of the most recognisable and rigorous certifications to show a company’s commitment to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
Since day one of Doing Goods, our mission is to spread happiness and cheer, near and far. Doing Good, it’s in our name, in our DNA. As we grow, this simple mission remains at the heart of all we do.
As part of the certification process, we’ve been audited by B Lab on five topics: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.
The whole process took us more than a year, and we managed to get the whole business on board.
